Good to Know Before You Go
October to March is ideal for heritage sites and Coorg. Jog Falls is most spectacular during and just after monsoon (July–October).
Wear comfortable walking shoes — Hampi's ruins are spread over a wide area. Carry water and sunscreen; the landscape has little shade.
Cover shoulders and knees when visiting temples. Modest clothing is appreciated at all religious sites across Karnataka.
