Travel Tips
Good to Know Before You Go
November to February is ideal — cool and dry. Avoid May–June (extreme heat). The northeast monsoon brings rains from October to December.
Non-Hindus may not be permitted inside the sanctum of some temples. Shoes must be removed outside all temples — carry socks for comfort.
Modest clothing is required — cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Lungi or saree wrappers are often available at temple entrances.
