Highlights
What You Will See
Taj Mahal at Sunrise
The world's most iconic monument — a UNESCO World Heritage marvel built in white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan as a testament to eternal love.
Agra Fort
A UNESCO-listed Mughal fortress of red sandstone — imperial palaces, audience halls, and the tower from which Shah Jahan gazed at his beloved Taj.
Fatehpur Sikri
Emperor Akbar's perfectly preserved ghost city — a stunning abandoned Mughal capital 40 km from Agra, frozen in time since the 16th century.
Mehtab Bagh
The Moonlight Garden — a Mughal char-bagh directly across the Yamuna River, offering the finest sunset view of the Taj Mahal's silhouette.
Itmad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj)
The delicate jewel-box tomb known as the Baby Taj — the first Mughal structure built entirely in white marble, a precursor to the Taj Mahal itself.
Agra Bazaar & Crafts
Agra is famous for marble inlay work (pietra dura), leather goods, and sweets. A guided market walk brings its rich craft tradition to life.
Itinerary
Your Journey
Your Agra experience begins the moment you arrive — a smooth transfer takes you straight to your hotel as the city's grandeur starts to unfold. Rise before dawn for the most magical moment of all: the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the white marble glows pink and gold in the early light. Your guide will walk you through the entire complex — the mausoleum, the symmetrical gardens, and the mosque — with stories of Emperor Shah Jahan's devotion woven into every detail. After a relaxed breakfast at a heritage café with Taj views, discover the lesser-visited but breathtaking Itmad-ud-Daulah, the jewel-box tomb that inspired the Taj itself. The afternoon is spent within the red sandstone walls of Agra Fort — imperial palaces, the Diwan-i-Khas, and the poignant Musamman Burj where Shah Jahan spent his final years gazing at his masterpiece. As the sun sets, head to Mehtab Bagh for a panoramic view of the Taj silhouetted across the Yamuna River — followed by a warm dinner of Mughlai cuisine.
Begin your final morning with a scenic drive to Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar's perfectly preserved ghost city 40 km from Agra. Frozen in time since the 16th century, this UNESCO World Heritage site reveals the full ambition of Mughal architecture — the towering Buland Darwaza, the serene Jama Masjid, the intricate Panch Mahal, and the royal palace complex all speak of an empire at its most confident. Back in Agra, a farewell lunch marks the close of your journey before a final stroll through the bazaars — picking up marble inlay souvenirs and Agra's famous petha sweets to take home. Your guide ensures a punctual, comfortable transfer to the railway station or your onward destination.
